Monowai Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit review                 87 points   4 stars

Bright and fruit forward, the bouquet shows nectarine, green rockmelon, apple and lemon zest characters, leading to a lively palate that is juicy and pristine. It is up front and tasty with attractive fruit intensity backed by refreshing acidity, finishing succulent and lingering. At its best: now to 2020.  www.monowai.co.nz. May 2019.

Tasting Notes

The flavours in our Sauvignon Blanc reflect the high-altitude inland position of the vineyard. Fresh citrus aromas underscored with notes of passionfruit and gooseberry which flow through to the palate with notes of white peach and citrus. Aging sur lie adds a rich texture while balanced acidity ensures length and freshness.
