Sam Kim, Wine Orbit review 86 points 4 stars
Bright and fresh, the nicely lifted bouquet shows sweet raspberry, strawberry, floral and mixed spice aromas, leading to a smooth palate that is fruit expressive and lingering. It is juicy and vibrant with tasty fruit flavours, finishing pleasingly dry. At its best: now to 2021. www.monowai.co.nz. May 2019.
Tasting Notes
The flavours in our Pinot Noir reflect the high altitude inland position of the vineyard. An elegant, textural red wine, aromas are of berries and spice. The berry fruit flavours come through on the palate with toast and spice undertones a layer of complexity. A delicate balance of acidity and tannin make this a wine which will age gracefully.
